Conclusie

Volgens de literatuur die d.m.v. beoordelingslijsten hoog scoren op methodologische kwaliteit blijkt dat de Hawkins-Kennedy test een matige specificiteit heeft om subacromiaal impingement uit te sluiten. Van de acht artikelen, waaronder één systematic review met meta-analyse, scoren vijf artikelen en de review een specificiteit tussen de 0.5 en de 0.7. De twee artikelen met een afwijkende score maken gebruik van een andere referentie standaard, namelijk ultrasonografie ten opzichte van een arthroscopie.
